A friend posted an excerpt from an interview with the late Aijaz Ahmad. It perfectly encompasses how I’ve been feeling lately:
Working-class movements are weaker today than at any other point in virtually a century. A fascist order is unnecessary. The Far Right and the liberal machine can coexist happily in an infernal embrace.
Indeed.
